DAVID SOLÍS, GANADOR DE LA CONVOCATORIA DE IMAGEN FOTOGRÁFICA "FUERA DE CONTROL"
David Solís García ha sido seleccionado para desarrollar la imagen de la Novena Edición del Festival Audiovisual ZEMOS98.
Licenciado en Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas, artista plástico y diseñador gráfico profesional, Solís plantea una obra basada en la máxima de "vernos viendo". A través de imágenes imposibles y alegóricas su trabajo reflexiona sobre los conceptos de masa, medio y crítica.
Texto Justificativo de David Solís:
¿Es posible una crítica cultural de la sociedad controlada? Nuestra radiografía al panorama audiovisual actual nos dice que nuestra actitud debe ser bastante escéptica al respecto, casi apocalíptica.
Pero queremos sumarnos a la creencia de que en algún punto del proceso de retroalimentación seremos capaces de impulsar el cambio necesario para que la cultura supere ese bucle en el cual se ha estancado.
El primer paso, sin duda, es el de adquirir ese metapunto de vista necesario que nos permita vernos a nosotros mismos, darnos cuenta del borreguismo al que nos vemos sometidos y provocar de esta forma el punto de inflexión que permita al medio la posibilidad de reconstruirse.
La temática de este trabajo pretende reflejar por un lado la actitud del grupo ante el control de los medios y por otro, la posibilidad de que se pueda llevar a cabo el éxodo necesario que permita ese estado de “descontrol”.
Porque, si fuésemos capaces de dotar al medio de conciencia, ¿huiría de sí mismo?

David Solís García has been selected to develop the image of the Ninth Edition of Audio-visual Festival ZEMOS98.
Lawyer in Publicity and Public Relations, plastic artist and professional graphical designer, Solis raises a work based on “to see seeing us”. Through impossible and allegorical images his work reflects on the mass concepts, media and critic.
Justificatory text of David Solis:
Is possible a cultural critic of the control society? Our x-ray to the present audiovisual context says to us that our attitude must on the matter be enough skeptic, almost apocalyptic.
But we want to add itself to the believe that in some point of the feedback process we will be able to impel the necessary change so that the culture surpasses that curl in which it has stagnated.
The first step, without a doubt, is the one to acquire that metapoint of necessary Vista that it allows to see us us we ourself, to give us account of the borreguismo which we are ourselves put under and to cause of this form the flexion point that allows to means the possibility of reconstructing itself.
The thematic one of this work tries to reflect on the one hand the attitude of the group with the control of means and by another one, the possibility that the necessary exodus could be carried out that allows that state of “uncontrol”. Because, if we were able to equip means with conscience, would flee from itself?
